The $1.05 billion mixed-use project topped off its largest block, which includes the development’s premier luxury condominium tower, RISE.
Swire Properties Inc, one of South Florida’s leading international developers of urban real estate, announced the topping off of Brickell City Centre’s entire west block, the largest of the three blocks that make up the master-planned mixed-use development’s 5.4 million square feet. With the majority of the project topped off, Brickell City Centre is on schedule for completion beginning end of 2015.
The west block is comprised of RISE, one of the development’s two luxury condos, along with one of the project’s two office towers and the block’s four-story retail center, home to Saks Fifth Avenue.

A traditional topping off ceremony and luncheon was held at the construction site of RISE on Jan. 30, marking the placement of the last piece of steel on the tower’s 43rd floor. The project’s executive leaders, along with more than 700 construction workers and consultants behind the successful construction milestone, celebrated with a ceremonial tree hoisting to the top floor. After the luncheon, construction workers were provided the rest of the day off.
Swire Properties continued the celebration with an evening cocktail event to toast to the successful top off of the residential tower, RISE. More than 200 of the project’s top-preforming brokers celebrated the upward momentum of the project.

Brickell City Centre continues to race upwards, with the project’s second condominium tower, REACH, set to top off in February.
