Swire Properties Inc, one of South Florida’s leading international developers of real estate, announces the addition of financial and real estate professional, Efren Ales, as Senior Director of Special Projects. In this role, Ales will assist in the oversight and management of Swire’s South Florida-based special projects, including Brickell City Centre, a $1.05 billion mixed‐use development of 5.4 million square feet.

Brickell City Centre will span 9.1 acres along South Miami Avenue, and will include office, residential, hotel, retail and entertainment space, and two floors of underground parking. It is currently the largest private-sector project under construction in Miami, and one of the largest in the United States.
Efren brings with him over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting having worked with publicly traded companies, private organizations and equity funds. More recently he tenured at a private equity/family office directing and managing the finance and accounting functions of their real estate division. Prior to joining Swire Properties, Ales led a successful career working as the Director of Real Estate Finance and Accounting at Greenstreet Real Estate Partners, L.P., and more recently as the Chief Financial Officer at Transcendent Investment Management. His combination of experience in accounting and real estate make him the ideal candidate for the special projects leadership role at Swire Properties Inc.
